Don't Take Me Seriously - Book - Page 285
well, like a 40 bazillion to one chance. Somebody was definitely on a smoke
break when these numbers were selected.
Now, I will give the algorithm a possible out here. Maybe the little mathematical
minion is operating in a defective machine. Maybe memory chips can get
“ingrained” and follow patterns like a misfiring Chevy with a bad plug wire. Or
maybe a fried cockroach is creating a magnetic field that bounces the algorithm
back to the last number it perched on. Or maybe the guy watching over the
server is sleeping with his forehead on it when my two dollars come calling.
Every time he snores, certain numbers are pressed into, or out of, choice.
But my money ... you know, if I had any left ... would be on a hung over algorithm
thinking, “Well, I’m already on five, why not save myself some effort and just
choose five again? No one will notice.”
Oh, I noticed, pal.
